There are colours, forms and stories dancing in my mind.
I feel at peace and most myself when I am bringing them into reality. My favourite creations hold a palpable emotion, as if they contain a mirror that reflects a little bit of my soul. My work is mostly figurative and acts as a study of what it is to be human. I use words, clay, pencils, pastels, fabric and more.
Zoë Zélie is an artist and writer based in Wicklow, Ireland. Born in Dublin, she has also lived in Berlin, Ljubljana, and Paris—cities that continue to inform her creative perspective. With a background in Art History and French, and a Master’s in Creative Writing, her work often moves between visual and literary forms, exploring the interplay of image and language.
Zoë’s practice is rooted in experimentation. Her materials range from clay and wool to paint and poetry, informed by a two-year training in Fashion Design which led to her founding the label Zoë Molly Mason. Whether working with textiles or text, her approach remains intuitive, tactile, and emotionally attuned.
She is currently developing a new body of work titled Blue—a series of clay sculptures, wool-based pieces, and paintings. Alongside this, she is working on a poetry collection, Nighttime Truths, which explores the quiet tensions of the everyday, using word and image together.
